Getting help when we’re not open

Just because your local surgery is closed doesn’t mean help isn’t available. The NHS runs 24/7, 365 days a year, so there is always a way to access care.

The 111 service is the first-point of contact to accessing help for non life-threatening health conditions. If there is a potentially life-threatening medical emergency, call 999 without delay.

The 111 service can be accessed via telephone or the internet, and can put you in touch with a range of services including out-of-hours GPs, Nurse Practitioners, and can even help you arrange emergency medication. If you think you need A&E, call 111 first. https://111.nhs.uk/
