An appointment system is in operation for the GPs throughout the day Monday – Friday.
Appointments may be made over the telephone between 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. or in person. If you have an urgent problem and the surgery is unable to book an appointment for you due to capacity please contact 111 or your nearest PC24 walk in centre.
If you wish to see a particular clinician please make this known to the receptionist who will offer you the next available appointment.
If your usual doctor is unavailable you may consult any of the other doctors.
111 Appointments
On occasion if you call 111 they will inform you that they have booked an appointment for you with your GP. Please note that while 111 will notify us of this we will call you with an appointment time, 111 are not able to offer a specific time slots for appointments with your GP surgery.
111 are also not able to advise if this is a face to face appointment or if this is a telephone consultation, the GP will triage the 111 request prior to an appointment time being allocated and will advise if a face to face appointment or telephone consultation is appropriate. Please note appointments booked by 111 are not emergency responses or prioritised before any other appointments, but we will still ensure an appointment time is communicated to you.
Surgery Closing Days
The Surgery will be closed on all public/bank holidays.
The surgery will be closed on some Wednesday afternoons (usually the fourth Wednesday of every month) for training purposes contact reception for details. Please note these days may be altered by the local ICB health authority.
If you are unable to keep your appointment please inform the reception staff as soon as possible.
